Bag carcasses and segregate all according to isotope half-life:
Group I: radionuclides with half-lives ≤120 days (ex. 32P, 131I, 33P, 35S, 51Cr, 125I);
Group II: radionuclides with half-lives >120 days 3H and 14C only;
Group III: radionuclides with half-lives >120 days other than 3H and 14C.
Complete yellow disposal card, keep frozen, keep sharps separate and place in sharps container. |
