Waste Classification Management Disposal
Universal Waste Clean up by using the EPA directions at the following link, http://www.epa.gov/mercury/spills/index.htm#flourescent . The waste which is collected in a sealed plastic bag must be stored in a sturdy box labeled with the Rutgers Universal Waste label and marked as Broken Lamp for disposal. Dispose of through Rutgers University approved vendor for spent bulbs.
